So the Academy of Country Music Awards were on last night and I didn't watch it because I don't like country music. However, I like Taylor Swift. I'm not going to lie, I literally bought "Fearless." Regardless of all the hype that may or may not have been warranted, "Fearless" is a very strong album and I do believe it was better than "I am...Sasha Fierce." Yes, "Single Ladies" is very good song and an epic video and should have beat "You Belong With Me" at the VMAs but regardless Taylor earning that Grammy for Album of the Year wasn't a travesty. Anyway, although Taylor considers herself to be a country music artist and was nominated for five awards last night: Top Female Vocalist, Entertainer of the Year,Video of the Year, Song of the Year (performer),Song of the Year (songwriter) she didn't win any. Even Entertainer of the Year was voted on by the fan and she lost. It might be surprising that she didn't win, but some argue that it is not. Lately, some members of the country music community don't consider Taylor Swift music to be country and is more pop. I really don't know anything about country music, but I heard both her of albums and I would say her latest one "Fearless" is more so a pop album. However, I'm sure this was a blow to the ego and to win NOTHING is pretty much a shock to me because no matter what your opinion of her, she had a huge year. But to date, she already won 64 music awards and is working on a new album. So as long as money's in the bank I wouldn't worry about it if I were here. Maybe this will humble her, make her hunger, and she'll make another great album.
Her entire tour is sold out right now with good reason, I heard she puts on amazing performances. I've always liked this one from 2008:
See, I told you I could write about something other than Rap or Drake lol
