Things you probably noticed about me from this blog:
I spend most of my time alone. When I was really little I was very shy and pretty much picked on all throughout my academic career (being quiet, racially ambiguous looking, and studious makes you an easy target lol) that I'm not sure when it changed to being my only option to spend time alone to becoming my preference. I actually can't be around people all the time now, it stresses me out. This probably stunted my social growth too, which is noticeable because I can't stand silence in a conversation. Even though it comes naturally I fear that I did something wrong so I just have to say something at all times. I also talk A LOT when I'm around people I'm comfortable with because its such large breaks between when I talk to people. Not saying I don't have friends, there are some lucky people out there that I like to spend time with, but in general I like to be alone. Which makes me obsessed with blogs, wikipedia, anywhere that I can get a lot of information. I also read and watch a lot of TV on DVD because I'm a fan of instant gratification. Also, since I spent so much time alone when I was little, I listened to A LOT of music. You know how people go like they "love" music? Well, I always thought that music was my BFF. Music could do me no wrong, and is a great companion. Lol this feels like the beginning to the answer to that question "When did you fall in love with hip-hop, from "Brown Sugar." Might have to be a future post. Anyway I say all this to say, here are some links! Sometimes thing blog just serves as a place where I can personally go back and look at things that I found amusing. I focus it on music because I didn't want this to be a blog that was just about me, as I stress all the time. Music is also one of the things that I never bite my tongue about. Anyway here are some interviews and articles. I have no analysis on this because not everything needs to be analyzed. So every so often, you get a bunch of links with no explanations.
I know this is a very weird introduction, but I've been thinking a lot lately and thought, why not just throw it out in the world. Maybe because its my half birthday? Also, you might notice I post a lot of Drake. I think I find him interesting because he's only a couple months older than me and I kinda understand how being 23 and the confusion and pressure that comes with that, no matter what your occupation. Plus its like, if he can do whatever he wants, why can't I?
