[Music Video] Jay-Z & Kanye West-Otis
This video looks like the took the allocated budget for the video and just had fun doing something you always wanted to do. (Kinda like the Blink 182 "The Rock Show" video below) This video was an excuse to have a crazy car with models in it. The Aziz Ansari cameo is great too.
I know, the Jay-Z & Kanye/Blink 182 comparison is very random.

Jay-Z Blog "Life+Times"
So you've read "Decoded," listened to all his albums back to back, and you still need a more regular helping for your Jay-Z fix. Being the business man that he is, Jay-Z got the remedy for you with his "Life + Times" blog (http://lifeandtimes.com/), named after his album trilogy "The Life and Times of S. Carter." Similar to Kanye's blog, he showcases what interest him. However, unlike many blogs its somewhat of an online magazine, with articles pertaining to what he likes, like this interview with RIM Blackberry. I also love how the Twitter feed is called "Tweets is Watching," a play off of the Jay-Z movie "Streets Is Watching." According to this MTV.com article, here are 5 things you need to know about his blog.
"1.) He's the Black Swan! JK JK JK, but Hova definitely loves Belgian hat designer Christophe Coppens, one of whose pieces is definitely reminiscent of Natalie Portman's possessed ballerina.
2.) His thumbs are agile, considering he eschews other, more popular touch-screen smartphones for the RIM BlackBerry
3.) Ooh la la! Jay-Z looks to France for inspiration when it comes to hip-hop, particularly in Parisian "beatmaker" Onra.
4.) Jay-Z likes to watch boxing matches: He's specifically keeping an eye on upcoming Miami-based fighter Andre Berto.
5.) He doesn't take shaving lightly, considering he's endorsing a shaving kit for men priced at more than $1,000."

Jay-Z Song Cry/Chris Brown Deuces Mash Up
DJ Green Lantern, who mixed this, played it on his ATL radio show. I like both "Dueces" and "Song Cry" but I was a bit resistant to it a first. However, the DJ mixed it well and I actually think it would be nice for a club song. Interesting twist on both of the songs. Jay-Z is not a stranger to mash ups, remember "Collison Course" with Linkin Park? I liked how he re-recorded every song with them so that sound quality was terrific. You can get the Song Cry/Deuces mashup here

Beats By...Jay-Z?
So Roc Nation has teamed up with Skull Candy headphones to create the Roc Nation Aviator headphones. I guess the popularity of the Beats By Dre and Heartbeats Beats by Dre by Lady Gaga headphones inspired this, they are pretty popular, I've seen a lot of people (celebrities and every day people) with them. Prices for Beats By Dre are around $150 to $350 so I'm expecting these Roc Nation ones to be about the same. Or maybe he'll low ball it to sell more.
I'm a lover of music, but I can't justify spending that much on headphones unless creating music was my actual job. Headphones break pretty easily and even though I love the sounds of the beat and what not, unless I'm producing it I don't need that much quality. Plus they are kinda big since I carry headphones around with me everywhere and one of the points of headphones is mobility. The Beats By Dre laptop from HP is about $2,200 and I know for sure I don't need that. I'm not saying this a bad product to make, there is definitely money in it and the quality of headphones is great, but I don't have a need for it. If they created a speaker set that would be pretty cool. I will say these Roc Nation headphones are hideous though.
UPDATE: Diddy has beats by Dre headphones too called Diddy beats. Headphones are the new fragrance for artists. Everybody has a scent and now everybody's making headphones. I think you need to be a reputable producer or artists to have headphones. Like beats by Ray J? I don't think that would sale at all.
As for a video, I was going to post the video for one of my favorite Jay-Z songs, "Big Pimpin" but embedding was disabled. I know, weird. Anyway Eminen and Jay-Z are going to to play concert at their hometown's respective baseball stadiums (Eminem in Comerica Park, Jay-Z Yankee Stadium) and they are going to be each other opening act. Crazy, right?!? I mean great performances and baseball park food is good lol. Yeah I plan on going of course. Here's them making the announcement in Comerica Park (and why was I not there!?)
