[Music Video] Nicki Minaj-Super Bass
Probably my favorite song on "Pink Friday." Semi surprised that this became a single since it was a bonus track, however, I think the overall popularity of the song, by fans and celebrities alike made it a no brainer single. See the videos below of Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift singing online to the song.

Drake shows off "Nicki Minaj Ring" from the Twitter marriage
It was silly of people to react to the "Twitter marriage" as they did. It was so obviously a joke, and if he really did marry her, would he ever really just put that on Twitter? He doesn't even tweet like that. He says in this interview that is why he shys away from social networking because people take it so seriously. It was funny that this rumor was so big that my mom called me asking about it. Every form of media was talking about a one little tweet lol.

Soundtrack to Summer: 10 2010 Summer Songs
Show Me a Good Time-Drake Thank Me Later
Your Love-Nicki Minaj Pink Friday
Who Dat-J. Cole Still Untitled
Find Your Love-Drake Thank Me Later
Never Been-Wiz Khalifa Kush and Orange Juice
Deja Vu-Mike Posner 31 Minutes to Take Off
Dueces-Chris Brown and Tyga Fan of a Fan
Power-Kanye West Still Untitled
Up All Night-Drake Nicki Minaj Thank Me Later
Downtown-Wale More About Nothing
It was hard to pick a top 10 because summer basically started end of April and I tend to hop from song to song a lot, but these are the ones that came to mind quickly, in no particular order. Thank Me Later was definitely the soundtrack to my summer, even though my relationship to that album is strange. Its like I grow to love it more everyday, but it was still somewhat of a disappointment. LOL I think this was the reaction Drake was expecting when he titled the album.
Other random favorites of Summer
Favorite Movies:
The Other Guys, Takers
Favorite TV Shows:
Real Housewives of NJ, Jersey Shore (I'm Jersey obsessed obviously) and of course The Boondocks

"Bottoms Up" Trey Songz ft. Nicki Minaj
Trey Songz is definitely riding this wave of commercial success but releasing his next album only a year after "Ready" came out. Its a smart move, as long as he remembers quality not quantity, but I'm not too worried about that. I also hopes he puts out a mixtape before "Passion, Pain and Pleasure" like he did with "Anticipation" for "Ready" which sounds just as good, if not better than the album.
Trey has been doing a lot of power ballads and lovey dovey songs lately, but he's most echoing the success of one of his most widely commercial songs "Say Ahh" Trey comes out swinging with a club banger, which is perfect for summer. It's a pretty okay song, I'm not crazy about it, but I think its perfect for the club and just enjoying this heat. Nicki takes her turn and shows how she would be perfect for an animated series. I don't think she's an awful rapper, but she definitely expresses herself and I think she really view rapping as her outlet to explore anything and everything, and I can't hate on her for that. None of her stuff could really be described as "weak." Even though I'm not a huge fan of the song, I'm not too worried. "I Need a Girl" is one of my least favorite songs off "Ready" and that was the first single. I'm not really into R & B but I'm really excited for this next album. "Ready" is surprisingly one of the albums that I can listen to front to back without skipping, which is rare in any genre. The album is due out Sept. 14th but I feel like he's going to move it up like he did "Ready" in order to be considered for the 2011 Grammy's instead of 2012. Plus Kanye comes out that day, lets pick our battles here.
